Diagnosis | Calyx quadro-pyramidal, evenly narrowing aborally, up to 0.8 cm wide, somewhat higher than wide; peduncle less than one-third as long as height of calyx; arms short, perradial notches slightly wider than the interradial; 20 to 30 tentacles on each arm; marginal anchors with a short stalk and a sound cushion-like disk a longitudinal central furrow, without a pigment fleck; gonads broad, lancet shaped, extending to ends of arms, interradially connected along their proximal halves, with about 50 follicles in 3 to 4 rows in their widest portions; subumbrella smooth. Four white interradial stripes from anchors to base of calyx. |
