						Shell color varies from clear golden brown to dark brown, with a  thin brown periostracum on the apertural half of the larger shells. Shell is slightly curved and almost cylindrical, only having a slight increase in diameter from apex to aperture. Shell surface with transverse growth lines which are more distinct behind the aperture. Septum varies in shape: from a dome, to a short rounded cyclinder, to a rounded-angled protruberance.					
				
				
						
			
			
			
			
				
					Found intertidal on sand, from silty calcareous to coarse with gravel and pebbles (Ref. 125681).

					Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners.  Life cycle:  Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
