Formation: hemispherical, up to 1 m across, flabello-meandroid. Valleys between 8 to 11 mm wide, with thin walls, only the upper part are living. Septa: protrude up to 5 mm, equal, with coarse teeth. Distinct and irregularly spaced columella centers. Fine costae. Color: pale cream or green (Ref. 848).
Found in reef slopes, away from reef action (Ref. 848).

Members of the class Anthozoa are either gonochoric or hermaphroditic. Mature gametes are shed into the coelenteron and spawned through the mouth. Life cycle: The zygote develops into a planktonic planula larva. Metamorphosis begins with early morphogenesis of tentacles, septa and pharynx before larval settlement on the aboral end.
