A microalgae herbivore (Ref. 96488). Inhabits intertidal flats (Ref. 1866); and rock pools (Ref. 1860). Also inhabits brackish lagoons (Ref. 2779) and found in Zostera marina beds (Ref. 96488).

The species displays poecilogonony as its reproductive strategy. Eggs are either demersal or found brooding in the mantle cavity; same stage as hatching.
