Definition of Term

inshore plain
(English) Flat submerged earthform expanse of the marine floor on the inshore portion of the continental shelf, at depths of 200 m or less and usually covered with sediments. (See also: submerged earthform, continental shelf, sea floor)
plateau côtier
(French) Zone plate et submergée du fond marin de la portion côtière du plateau continental, à des profondeurs de 200 m ou moins et habituellement couverte de sédiments. (See also: submerged earthform, continental shelf, sea floor)
planície terrestre
