Definition of Term

serration
(English) A formation resembling the toothed edge of a saw, or a single point on a serrate margin; margins of preopercles, margins of scales, edges of spines, etc., may be serrated. (See also: serrate, spine, opercle)
dentelure
(French) Formation qui ressemble au bord denté d'une scie, ou un point seul sur une marge denticulée ; les marges des préopercules, les marges des écailles, les bords des épines, etc., peuvent être denticulées. (See also: serrate, spine, opercle)
